Well the NFL's traditional turkey fuelled football fiesta is upon us, with a slate of games even more mouthwatering than the roasted poultry.
We have traditional home games for the Lions and Cowboys, who host the Bears and the Eagles respectively, followed by a slobberknocker primetime showdown between the Seahawks and 49ers.
Always a season highlight, this year promises to be no exception with some team's seasons on the line this coming Thursday.
So what are the key points to look out for this Thanksgiving?
Can the Lions hold serve?
Lions' den: Stafford will hope to keep Detroit in the playoff hunt on Thanksgiving
Once again Detroit host a Thanksgiving game, a tradition going back to the 1930s. While they comfortably beat the Packers last year on turkey day, it hasn't always been a happy occasion for Lions fans in recent years. This year they face the Bears who are merely clinging on down the stretch.
The Lions however are enjoying a fine season so far. While the arrival of Jim Caldwell hasn't made for spectacular football, it has been winning football. The play of their defence has largely overshadowed their offense; impressive indeed given it contains a certain Calvin Johnson Jr.
The Lions will be hoping that the stumbling offense can shine on national television against a Bears defence which has been a shadow of it's former self, allowing 50 points in consecutive games. Expect the Lions to control this one.

Will the Eagles take control of their own destiny?The Eagles arrive in Arlington sharing first place Finding Cheap Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys Online in the NFC East with their Thanksgiving opponents, knowing that a win will see them seize control of the division.
Much of Philly's success this year has come from efficient, fast paced offense and a defence predicated on takeaways and pressure.
